Symposium Circus was founded in 2017 with the intention of officially organising a community that makes modern circus accessible to people without access due to financial, geographical and/or physical limitations.
Symposium Circus believes that their are many benefits of practising modern circus, both physically and emotionally. However, this highly beneficial realm of activities is limited to a specific group in society with access to a certain amount of funding, which is beyond the majority.
Symposium Circus is a collective of some of the top circus practitioners in the UK, sharing the same values of bringing circus accessibility forward. Our aim is to facilitate events, workshops and meet up spaces to promote and encourage involvement, especially from minority and/or disadvantaged groups in society.

What is Circus Symposium?
Throughout the year, Symposium Circus hosts several one-day circus conventions. At our events, we facilitate amazing training spaces for amateur circus practitioners to train, trick swap, and network with other members of the circus and juggling community.
Furthermore, we provide workshops for a range of disciplines from novice to advance level. Our conventions are concluded with a Gala Show, during which we showcase some of the best British and international circus talent currently in the industry.
Our main aim is to encourage and inspire creativity, community, and fun at every level, from the absolute beginners to the world-class professionals attending our events.
